 MIHAELA M. PAUN

Professor of Applied Statistics, Faculty of Business and Administration, University of Bucharest

Mihaela M. Paun is a Professor of Statistics at the University of Bucharest. She obtained her PhD in Computational Analysis and Modeling - Applied Statistics in 2006 from Louisiana Tech University, United States. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Actuarial Science and Modeling from University of Western Ontario Canada since 2003, a Master of Science degree in Computer Science also from University of Western Ontario Canada since 2001 and a Bachelor's degree from faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Bucharest, Romania since 1998.

Prior to the position at the University of Bucharest she held positions at Louisiana Tech University (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor) and the National Institute of Research and Development for Biological Sciences (Researcher and Senior Researcher in Biostatistics).

She has published about 40 scientific articles, 3 books participated in the co-authorship of chapters in other 5 books and acted as member, group leader or director in 14 research grants funded by European, United States or Romanian research agencies.
